The date was October 25th, 2025, one of those fall days that makes you stop for a second and really appreciate how beautiful this season is. I was honestly surprised that, even this late in October, the leaves were still hanging on. It felt like the trees knew they had one last show to put on before the month wrapped up.
The entire drive in that morning felt kind of magical.
As I pulled into the venue, the weather couldn’t have been better. Soft cloud coverage, a photographer’s best friend, and reassurance from the groom that the rain was going to hold off.
One of my favourite parts of photographing weddings is getting to know the couple. It's like you get this little window into such an important moment in their lives, and it’s honestly one of the reasons I love what I do.
I first met Connor and Zoé during their engagement session, and that’s when I heard the story of how Connor proposed. Knowing how much Zoé loves Disney, he gave her the ultimate fairytale moment, right in front of Cinderella's castle. How much more romantic can it get???
Hearing the story for the first time genuinely gave me goosebumps.
And then came the sweetest twist: moments after saying yes, Zoé reached into her pocket and pulled out a ring of her own. She had planned to ask Connor the very same question, on the same day, in the same spot. Meant to be? I’d say that doesn’t even begin to cover it.
Connor may have spoken first, but in that moment, they both asked.
Some fairy tales start in castles.
Others start with a swipe to the right.
Connor and Zoé’s love story is proof that fairytales don’t only happen in movies. Sometimes they unfold right here in our own hometowns, when the universe lines up just right and brings you to the person who instantly feels like home.
Congratulations, Zoé & Connor!
Your day was absolutely magical.
